Ladies’ Fingers (Dudleya edulis), or Siempreviva in Spanish, sometimes called a “string bean” or “fingertips,” is a drought-tolerant plant native to southern California and Baja California, Mexico.

Growing in rocky, well-drained areas of the coastal sage scrub and chaparral plant communities it blooms in the summer where its cream-colored flowers rise on stalks above its fleshy leaves.
