Bush Monkey Flower

The Bush Monkey Flower (Diplacus longiflorus) is a perennial shrub native to California and is common in the San Diego area. The light orange flower is easily seen in our chaparral habitats.

The Bush Monkey Flower prefers coastal sage scrub, oak woodlands, and chaparral plant communities. It is pollinated by bees and hummingbirds, growing and thriving in many types of soil, from wet and sandy to dry and rocky.
